The Field Solutions Group (FSG) is engaged in asset and data management for utilities, including asset inspection, management and maintenance services; water conservation, energy saving, and other environmental services; the provision of utility meter installation and reading services; directional drilling and infrastructure construction activities; and related data management and geographical information services (GIS).
FSG conducts business through long-term contracts with major utilities and has contracts in hand of some $165m with quality utility clients in electricity, gas and water.
The development of the Environmental Solutions offering within FSG has been timely with respect to the importance that governments and their constituents are placing on them.
UXC is now the leading provider of domestic and light commercial water and energy solutions in Australia. Through established networks, partnerships and buying power, UXC provides real end-to-end solutions for environmental and conservation needs including water and energy audits, solar solutions, rain harvesting solutions and financial services to assist in reducing the upfront costs and provide real payback periods.
Some of the environmental programs conducted to date include:
- Water and energy audits at some 700,000 homes and commercial enterprises around Australia; and Distribution of some 500,000 Enviro Bags, including energy efficient light globes and water saving shower heads, to households in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
- Together, the estimated environmental impact of these programs is: Approximately 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions saved per annum from the distribution and installation of energy conserving light globes; Nearly 22,000 mega litres of water usage conserved per annum from the distribution and installation of water saving devices; and Approximately $120m per annum saved in the water and electricity bills of consumers benefiting from our services.
